Marula among top 20 in Accenture Innovation Index Awards

Innovation rewards those who strive for it, and Accenture awards those who can create it. Although Marula is already enjoying the rewards of creating innovative products, we are also pleased to be acknowledged for our creativity and innovation.

The annual Accenture Innovation Index Awards recognises innovation in South Africa. It will be rewarding some of the more innovative companies on the 10th of October at a gala dinner in Johannesburg.

Marula is thrilled to have made the top 20 and to be attending the gala event.

The Accenture Innovation Index "aims to provide an authoritative, objective snapshot of the current state of innovation in South Africa, with the ultimate objective of creating a national benchmark of innovation."

Companies are assessed on innovation across a number of dimensions, including: technological process, social and people, service delivery, product development and market / brand development.

The gala event will include an Innovation Showcase in which finalists can show off their innovations, as well as an interactive panel discussion on innovation featuring Derek Hanekom, The Honourable Minister of Science and Technology; William Mzimba, Accenture Chief Executive; Adrian Gore, Discovery Holdings Chief Executive Officer; and Professor Roy Marcus, The Da Vinci Institute Chairman.

Colin Andrew said that Marula were honoured by the result and that "although we didn’t make it to the Final 7, we are proud to have finished in the Top 20. There was tough competition, with large corporations such as ABSA bank, FNB and the Altech Group all making it into the final round of 20. We look forward to celebrating everyone’s success at the dinner".
